Leadership

Pastor Toby has served High Pointe since 1988 as founding pastor.  He holds degrees from Baylor and Southwestern Seminary.  He is lead Director of Mission Cedar Hill, President of Transformation Vision Cedar Hill, and has been an adjunct professor at DBU since 2012.   He is married to Ellen and they have three grown children and four grandchildren.

Nina Jackson has been a member of High Pointe Church for 19 years, during which she has served as the Children's Ministry Leader for nearly six years. She holds an associate's degree in merchandising and a bachelor's degree in business management from Northwood University. Since 2002, Nina's passion for children has been evident in her work as a teacher in local school districts. She and her husband, Frank, have three children and two grandchildren.

Aldre 'Dre' Chislom

Sharon has served High Pointe since 1995 as Financial Secretary. She holds a degree from Dallas Baptist University. She has been a member of High Pointe for 37 years and has served in many areas of the church. One of her passions is serving in the Nursery for 29 years. She is married to her husband Keith, and they have three grown children and four grandchildren.

Ami Shelton began working at High Pointe Church in November 2023 as the church secretary. She holds a bachelor's and master's degree in counseling from Nelson University (previously Southwestern Assemblies of God University). She is married to Cody, who is a police officer in Mesquite, and they have 3 children. Ami enjoys reading, coffee dates with friends, and playing sand volleyball.

Mel and Debbie joined High Pointe in 2007 and he was ordained as a deacon in 2017.  Mel is active in Mission Cedar Hill and handles much of the building and grounds here at High Pointe.

Debbie retired from AT&T after 40 years and began to use her technical skills at High Pointe.  She is married to Mel, she has two daughters and 5 grandchildren.

Marissa.....

Jim was born and raised in the Corpus Christi, TX area by parents that had a healthy love and respect for God and Jesus Christ.  They moved to the small town of Ingleside when he was in the 8th grade.  He surrendered his life to the Lord when he was 14 years old and a sophomore at Ingleside High School.  He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1978 and has worked in the golf course and landscape management industry since graduation.  He and his lovely wife Lynn have been married for over 45 years.  Since dedicating his life to the Lord, he has been singing the praises of Jesus Christ, leading the music portion of worship services, directing and singing in choirs, and providing special music for worship services.  His family has been active members of High Pointe Baptist Church for over 25 years and he has been leading music in the 8:00 am Classic service for approximately 20 of those years.

Jacqueline and Aaron...

Jackson is 27 years old, married to his beautiful wife Brystol, and is blessed with a daughter Reeves. He was born into High Pointe back in 1997 and has since gained a Business Studies degree from Dallas Baptist University. At DBU he played baseball for three years and had the opportunity to play professionally for four years with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. Jackson’s passion is now coaching baseball and serving in his home church as the pastoral associate and head of the young adults ministry.
